Composed of Texan musicians Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet, this musical duo specializes in performing folk rock while simultaneously entertaining the youth of the crowd. The name of the band was originally St. Elmo’s Fire, but eventually was re-named after Richard Brautigan’s novel Trout Fishing in America. The band has received much recognition for both family and adult music, including three National Indie Awards, multiple Parents Choice awards and four Grammy Award nominations for the “Musical Album for Children” category. Among other awards, the band members find honor in conducting frequent songwriting workshops in schools and communities. In addition to their music, the band has also written two children’s books with accompanying music.
